Dante Gabriel Rossetti (British, 1828–1882) The sitter of this powerful drawing is Fanny Cornforth (1835-1906), one of Rosetti's favorite model, and most likely one of his lovers. Her combination of beauty, magnetism, and her sensual nature proved irresistible to the artist.
